Sharon Jean Ireland, 86, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019.
She was born January 25, 1933, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of William E. and Gladys L. (Lenart) Mueller. She was a graduate of West Allis Central High School, West Allis, WI.
She was a member of Job's Daughters and former member of First Church of Christ Scientist in Milwaukee, WI.
Sharon married Edward R. Ireland, Jr. in 1955. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2017. Survivors include a daughter, Valerie Ireland; a son, Dean Ireland; and two grandchildren, Caitlin C. Ireland and Samuel E. Ireland.
Sharon was an avid baseball fan, gardener, baker, Sheepshead player, traveler and camper. She also acted in the Silver Ridge Players in the role of Yenta.
A funeral service will be Noon, Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka. The family will receive friends following the service until 1:30 p.m. Private interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Topeka.
