Maria Isabel Alcantara, 82, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020.
She was born November 19, 1937, in Agostadero, Mexico, the daughter of Adrian and Maria (Carapia) Mora.
Maria married Emigdio Roman Alcantara on February 3rd 1956 in La Loma, Mexico. He survives in Topeka. Other survivors include five children. Ernesto, Antonio, Margarita, Maria, and Anna; 29 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and six siblings.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother; and two children.
Maria enjoyed cooking, gardening, raising chickens, embroidery, rock collection, recycling, and family time.
A graveside service will be at Noon, Saturday, March 21, 2020 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 3616 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, Kansas. Dove Cremations & Funerals, Southeast Chapel is assisting the family.
