Jill Diane (Welsh) Fitzgibbons, 53, of Topeka, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020.
She was born August 2, 1967, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Doug and Jeanette M. (Hash) Welsh. She was a 1985 graduate of Seaman High School and received her bachelors and master's degrees from Washburn University.
She was a member of Seaman Community Church and volunteered for Helping Hands Humane Society.
Jill married Scott Fitzgibbons in 1999. They later divorced. Survivors include two daughters, Jaci Noel Fitzgibbons and Brynn Nicole Fitzgibbons; her father, Doug Welsh; and her brother, Jeff Welsh all of Topeka.
She was preceded in death by her mother.
Jill enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, reading, running, exercising, movies and loved animals.
Honoring her request, cremation is planned. A private memorial ceremony will be held at Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel in Topeka.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St, Topeka, KS 66604 or American Cancer Society, 1315 SW Arrowhead Road, Topeka, KS 66604.
