Patricia Ann McElroy, 75, of Topeka, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022.
She was born October 6, 1946, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of Billy Thomas Jones and Virginia Ellen (Bateman) Jones. After her father passed away she was also raised by her stepfather Clement Jacob Weigel. She graduated from Topeka West High School in 1964.
Pat worked for the Marshall, Hawks, McKinley and Hunley law firm until her first child was born in 1971.
Pat married Dan McElroy on December 31, 1966 in Topeka. He survives, along with her children Mark McElroy (Judy) of Sumter, South Carolina; Stefanie Brown (Heath) of Spring, Texas; grandchildren Paige McElroy (Dylan), Lindsay McElroy, Caitlyn Mettetal, Zackary Brown, Kelsie Brown, and Tyler Brown; great-grandchildren Oliver and Elliott Lavallee; brother Thomas Jones (Yong) of Manhattan, Kansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather.
Pat enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
A private family ceremony will be held in the future. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery and Funeral Chapel, 4700 SW 17th Street, in Topeka. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 42040, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-3000.
