Carolyn Sue Hathaway, 77, of Topeka, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 1, 2024.
She was born October 14, 1946, in San Bernardino, California, the daughter of Clarence Alvin and Edna Doreen (Gorman) Lowen. She graduated from Wellington (KS) High School in 1965 and received an associate’s degree in business from Friends University.
Mrs. Hathaway was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, of Topeka.
Carolyn married Glenn Dean Hathaway on January 24, 1976 in Wichita, KS. He survives, along with their children Chris Hathaway (Nicole) of Topeka, KS, Tina Hathaway of Abilene, KS, Paul Hathaway (Jennifer) of Mayetta, KS and Deana Hathaway of Wichita, KS; grandchildren Charissa, Caitlyn, Kaylie, Matthew, Connor, Emma, Owen, Josie, Hutch, and Nicole; along with several great-grandchildren and her sister Janet Thomas of Grandview, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Carolyn enjoyed sewing, crocheting, traveling, gardening, and was a great cook. She loved spending time with her family.
Carolyn was cremated. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery at 4700 SW 17th Street in Topeka.
