Susan Ann Allen, 77, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

She was born November 14, 1946, in Jacksonville, Florida, the daughter of Billy and Anna (Fousel) Hidle.

Susan was employed as a mail opener by Southwest Publishing for 20 years.

Susan married Jesse Allen in 1991. He preceded her in death on 2014. Survivors include her children, Darin Nissen of Topeka, Travis Nissen (Linda) of Topeka, Bill Nissen of Lawrence and Shelly Sweet (Kelly) of St. George, KS; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Susan enjoyed dressing up – especially for Halloween. She loved decorating and making jewelry.

Susan was cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to the Womens’ Abuse Center c/o YWCA Northeast Kansas, 225 SW 12th Street, Topeka, KS 66612.
