Bryce E. Brucker, 78, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born February 13, 1946 in McPherson, Kansas, the son of Frederick and Lydia (Huber) Brucker.

Bryce graduated from Canton High School in 1964. He was a Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War era. He graduated from Salt City College in McPherson. He was employed by Garvey Elevators before beginning his career with Kansas Power & Light in Hutchinson. He transferred to the Topeka office in 1982 and after 30 years of service, retired in 2006.

Bryce married Phylis J. Vogts on June 26, 1970 in Canton, Kansas. She survives. Other survivors include children, Aaron M. (Trayce) Brucker of Lyndon, Adam M. (Mary) Brucker of Des Moines, Iowa, Andrew M. (Debra) Brucker of Lawrence, six grandchildren, Spencer (Olivia), Caitlyn (Lizmarie), Sophie (Thomas), Cyrus, John and Nick, three great-grandchildren, Loki, Arthur and Orson, and his sister, Bonnie Gutierrez of California.

Bryce was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Zoe Brucker and his siblings, Patricia Ungles, Jacob Brucker, and Bud Brucker.

A Celebration of Bryce’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2024 at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Inurnment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
