Patti Ann Zimmerman, 57, of Berryton, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. She was born March 30, 1967, in Danville, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Frank R. and Patricia A. (Kessler) Keller.

Patti graduated from Shikellamy High School in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. She was most recently employed by Berryton Elementary School as a food service worker. Prior to that, Patti owned and operated a video rental store in Topeka.

Patti was an animal lover. In addition to dogs and cats, Patti bred and raised many kinds of birds including ducks and chickens.

Patti enjoyed country life with her husband of over twenty-five years, James "Jim" W. Zimmerman. They enjoyed cooking and spending time together including showing birds at expositions and competitions. They became connected with a community of folks in the waterfowl showing industry where they were well respected and received many awards. Jim preceded Patti in death.

She is survived by her son, Bryan Winters, from a previous marriage to Jack D. Winters. Survivors also include her mother, Patricia Keller, her brothers, Steven (Heather) Keller of Sunbury, Pennsylvania, Michael (Kimberly) Keller of Warwick, Rhode Island, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 21, 2024, at Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. A Celebration of Patti's Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. A private inurnment ceremony will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Helping Hands Humane Society, 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, Kansas 66604.
