Ada May Eldridge, 76, of Hoyt, Kansas, passed away Friday, January 10, 2025.
She was born July 14, 1948, in Marysville, Kansas, the daughter of Raymond F. and Laura E. (Roberts) Allgeier. She was a graduate of Beattie High School, Beattie, Kansas and Clark’s Business School in Topeka.
Ada was employed by Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka for 38 years, retiring in 2009.
She was a member of Brush Busters and Wild Women of the Frontier horse club.
Survivors include her two children, Paxton (Jenny) Weddle of Topeka and Sabrina Penrod of Hoyt, KS; four grandchildren, Samantha, Paige, Lance and Haley; and her sister, Mary (David) Schock of Holton, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ada loved horses and her family. She enjoyed kayaking, trail riding, country music, camping, swimming, crocheting, her pets and spending time with her friends.
Honoring her request, cremation is planned. A celebration of life gathering will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Monday, January 20, 2025, at Dove Cremations and Funerals, Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Rd, Topeka, KS.
