Adam J. Reams

Adam J. Reams, 22, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2012. He was born on November 24, 1989 in Mason City, Iowa to Gene Richard and Sandra Kaye (Santee) Reams.

Adam graduated from Shawnee Heights High School in 2008. He attended Pittsburg State University and Kansas State University. He was currently attending Washburn University. Adam was a proud member of the U.S. Navy ROTC.

He had a passion for cars, loved to go kayaking, was a huge San Francisco 49er's fan, and enjoyed playing in pool tournaments. He was a great person with a great sense of humor. His family meant everything to him and he had a bond with his brother that words cannot explain. Adam will be greatly missed by so many that love him. Adam has chosen to give life by donating his organs.

He is survived his parents, a brother, Nicholas Reams, grandparents Mark and Vali Reams of Topeka; Linda and Gene LaChapelle of Mona, IA and Henrietta and Glen Curtis of Forsyth, MO; aunts and uncles, Jim Reams, Lee Reams, David Reams, Nick Horvath, Christopher Horvath, Peter Horvath, Eric Horvath, Melissa Dotson, Doug Santee, Dennis Santee, Steve Santee, Cindy Santee, Gene LaChapelle, Bob LaChapelle, Dick LaChapelle, Kevin LaChapelle and Denise Boerjan and numerous cousins and extended family.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28 at the Penwell-Gabel - Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in the Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 27 at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
