Addison Julian Scott Letsch, affectionately known as Addi, was born on March 18, 1999, in Aurora, Colorado. He passed away on December 28, 2024, in Topeka, Kansas, leaving a profound imprint on the hearts of all who knew him.
From a young age, Addi showcased a kind-hearted and generous spirit. Even though he may not have had much, Addi was always eager to share what he had and to lend a helping hand to those less fortunate. His compassion extended to both the people he cared for and the animals he loved. Throughout his childhood, he developed a special bond with all 4-legged friends he encountered, and most recently, he shared a joyful companionship with his cat roommate, Herkimer. Addi loved nature and enjoyed spending time outdoors, often caring for his grandparents' land, an experience that brought him great fulfillment. He especially loved birds and recently petitioned his apartment complex to allow him to install a bird feeder outside his window. Feeding and watching the birds brought him peace.
Addi's personality was enriched by his hobbies and interests. He was a music lover and played the guitar and piano – he often had his headphones in and would find his peace in music. He had a knack for baking, and his double chocolate chip cookies were a favorite with friends and family! His creativity was also expressed through woodworking, including a collection of tree limbs he made into staffs. An avid gamer, he delighted in fantasy games and films, immersing himself in the adventures they offered.
Addi held dreams close to his heart, aspiring to cultivate a family of his own that he could cherish and care for. This dream was reflective of the love and support he received from his family. He is survived by his parents, Melissa (Christopher) Loyd and David Letsch, along with his brothers Zachary and Elijah Loyd and Sora Letsch, his grandparents Kathy and Bill Gosa, and Cynthia and David Letsch, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will remember him fondly.
Addison will be lovingly remembered for his caring heart, his commitment to helping others, and the joy he brought to those around him. His kindness and generosity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to share in his life.
