Adeline Olivia (Linnerson) Gregory, 85, of Topeka, Kansas died October 17, 2017.
Adeline was born June 22, 1932, at the Emergency Hospital in Genoa, Nebraska, with Dr. Homer Davis as the medical doctor. Adeline was born to parents Alfred N. Linnerson and Irma Naty (Samson) Linnerson.
She was baptized and confirmed at the Augustana Lutheran Church in Genoa. Adeline attended eight years elementary school at District 21 Nance County, Nebraska, and graduated from Genoa High School in 1949. Adeline taught school in Nance County at District 30 for 1 year and District 63 for 2 years.
She married John T. Gregory, who was stationed at Upper Heyford Air Base in England, in the U.S. Air Force, at the Summertown Congregational Church with Rev. Geoffrey Beck officiating in Oxford, England, on June 22, 1952.
Two children were born in this marriage, Terry Anne Gregory, daughter in 1953, and John T. Gregory, Jr., son in 1955.
Her husband was a grain elevator manager and they lived in rural towns in Missouri and Kansas. They retired in 1992 in Topeka, Kansas.
Adeline's hobbies were cooking and watching her grandchildren grow up.
She is survived by her husband, John T. Gregory of Topeka; daughter, Terry Anne Puderbaugh RN and her husband Dr. Steve Puderbaugh; and son John T. Gregory EA. and his wife Maureen of New Oxford, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by one grandson; Dr.Matthew Puderbaugh and five granddaughters Laura Puderbaugh, Dr. Amy Puderbaugh, Mary Gregory Kuti, Bridget Gregory Rudiger, and Kristen Gregory and four great-grandchildren Veronica Kuti, Joseph Kuti, Micah Puderbaugh and Elijah Puderbaugh. Other survivors include her sister, Darlene J. Simon of Williamsburg, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred N. Linnerson and Irma N. (Samson) Linnerson; and two sisters, Barbara L. Imig and Kathleene Kay West ; and her brother, Alfred (Nick) Nicholas Linnerson of Albion, Nebraska.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Dove Cremation & Funeral Service, 4020 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, Kansas 66606.
Graveside service will be at the Valley View Cemetery at Genoa, Nebraska, at 11:00 am Saturday October 21, 2017 with Pastor Adam Lassen.
