Alan Brown

Alan Brown, 52, of Tecumseh, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014. He became ill with the flu (H1N1) at Christmas and fought relentlessly through complications. He was born June 15, 1961, the son of William A. and Nelda J. Sheppard Brown, Jr. He owned and operated A & J Home Repair.

Alan married Jeanice E. Jameson on April 18, 1981. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Erica R. Brown, Jason A. Brown, LCpl Ryan L. Brown (USMC), three grandchildren, Gabryella, Jasmine and Isaac, his mother, three sisters, Linda (Rick) Alexander, Pam (Steven) Flach and Debora Burns, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, (Ret) Capt. Harold and Rosalie Jameson, three brother-in-laws, (Ret) Col. Fred Jameson, Dennis Jameson and David (Melanie) Jameson and numerous nieces and nephews. Many hold a special place in their heart for Alan.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Lakeview Church of the Nazarene. Cremation will follow the service and private inurnment will take place at a later date. Alan will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Red Cross, 1221 W. 17th St., Topeka, KS 66604.
