Alan "Bud" Kenneth Galle, 80, of Meriden, Kansas, formerly of Big Bear, California, passed away April 19, 2015. He was born in Los Angeles, California on May 28, 1934 to Paul and Bessie (Weeks) Galle. Bud was raised in East Los Angeles and attended Bell High School. He entered the US Army before the age of 18. Bud served in both the US Army and US Air Force. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict era.
Bud was preceded in death by his father Paul Galle, mother Bessie Stout, step-father John Stout and his first wife of 37 years, Dottie Eagle Galle.
He is survived by his loving sweetheart Vickie Galle of the home. They wed on August 14, 1999 in Orange County, CA. Bud is also survived by his daughter Paula Foxford and son-in-law Jim Wilson, both of Topeka; son Michael Galle and his wife Cindy of Meriden; foster son Ernie Shobert and his wife Pattie of southern CA; grandsons: Jarrod Galle, Tim Foxford, Aaron Shobert and Andrew Niko; granddaughters: Monica Seitz, Amanda Galle, Maegan Galle, Jessica Diaz, Celeste Martinez and Madison Niko; great-grandchildren: Logan, Gage, Sydney, Hannah, Caitlyn, Gabriella, Sabrina, Jayson, Jaden, Mason, Cailie and Ryan; brothers: Patrick, Michael, Steve and Mark; and his sister "Sissy" Virginia; as well as his Wal-Mart family and "sticker kids."
Bud was a retired truck driver and was a Wal-Mart greeter. He loved passing out handmade stickers to all "his" children at Wal-Mart, going fishing and watching westerns. He was the BEST cook and enjoyed painting ornaments. Bud loved to travel and party with his family. In his early years he was an avid bowler. He loved visiting Big Bear so much, he and his wife Dottie bought a trailer in Big Bear which eventually became their home while Dottie was alive. He met Vickie at Big Bear, CA, where they lived until they moved to Kansas in 1999.
