Alberta Joan (Beckley) Snell, 73, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
She was born August 19, 1942, in Topeka, Kansas, the daughter of James and Marjorie (Morris) Beckley.
She attended the Lakeview Church of the Nazarene.
Alberta married Donald Snell on June 26, 1962 in Topeka. He survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Debra (Kenneth) Bacon, Berryton; three grandchildren, Andrew (Kate) Bacon, Scott (Heather) Bacon and Timothy (Brooke) Bacon; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Lily, Lukas and Jace Bacon; one brother, Tommie Beckley, Topeka; five sisters, Arlene (Noel) Forsyth, Wilcox, AZ, Dee (Jim) Aubert, DeSoto, KS, Cathy Aubert, Topeka, Anita (Otis) Trimble, Wichita, KS and Terri (Tim) Norris, Wichita; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Jimmy Beckley.
Alberta loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed collecting angels and looked forward to visiting Hawaii again.
A Funeral Ceremony will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Penwell-Gabel - Southeast Chapel, 2843 S.E. Minnesota Avenue, Topeka. KS.
Alberta will lie in state after 3:00 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m.
