Alice Irene (Romig) Parsons, 76, of Burlingame, KS passed away January 16, 2015 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. Alice was born September 12, 1938 in Eskridge, Kansas, the daughter of Clifford and Verna (Myers) Romig.
Alice was raised in Eskridge, graduated from Eskridge High School and lived most of her life in the Eskridge area. She was employed by Marshall Harkness Drug Store in her younger years. Alice was also a school bus driver, worked for the Burlingame Sewing Factory, IBP, Daisy's, the Burlingame Meat Market and Luce Press Clippings, where she retired from.
Alice was an avid NASCAR fan (#88), as well as the Kansas City Chiefs.
Alice married Eldon "Duane" Parsons on September 15, 1957 in Eskridge. He preceded her in death. Alice is survived by 3 children, Kathy Peterson (Mark), Osage City, Kansas, William "Bill" Parsons (Rose), Burlingame, Kansas and Clifford Parsons, Burlingame, Kansas; siblings, Joyce Urton, Hoyt, Kansas, Karol Perry (Robert), Albuquerque, New Mexico; Clifford Romig (Irene), Topeka, Kansas, Alta Kate Hewes (Buck), Maple Hill, Kansas; 8 grandchildren and 19 1/2 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews both great, and great-great.
Alice was also preceded in death by 1 great-grandchild, Kaydence Kay Dale Line.
A celebration of life will be held January 31, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Schuyler Annex, 117 South Dakota in Burlingame, Kansas. Private burial will be held at a later date at Burlingame Cemetery.
