Alice Mae (McMillen) Jost, 83, Topeka, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2007.
Alice was born March 18, 1924 in Osawatomie, the daughter of John and Blanche (McCutcheon) Tice. She grew up in Osawatomie and attended Osawatomie High School.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She married Howard McMillen on January 7, 1938 in Paola. They later divorced. She married Charles Jost on May 28, 1971 in Topeka. He died in 2000. She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survivors include son; Howard (Judy) McMillen, Chelan, WA; daughters, Judy McMillen, Rapid City, SD, Jan (Jim) Stuck, Topeka; step-daughters, Janice (Phil)Osburn, Yreka, CA, Judy (Harv) Riches, Pittsburg, Jeanine Cobler, Kansas City, MO, Jodie Colhouer, Littleton, CO; 5 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 10 step-great grandchildren; and a niece, Vicki (Francis) Berberich, Osage City.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel. Burial will follow in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Alice will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 37th & Wanamaker after 2:00 p.m. on Monday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
