Alice G. Miller, 85, Topeka, died Sunday, April 24, 2005 at her home.
She was born Dec. 11, 1919 in Garrison, Kansas, the daughter of Karl Wesley and Anna Belle Given Flickinger.
She was preceded in death by a son, John Albert Hockett and three grandchildren.
She is survived by seven children: Charles Bailey, Topeka, Donald P. Bailey, Burlingame, Alene "AJ" Jensen, Topeka, Jack Hockett, Topeka, Jill Clements, Eugene, OR, Mary Jo Campbell, Eugene, OR, and Joy Hockett, Topeka; thirteen grandchildred, seventeen great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by three sisters, Jenny Ames, Hazel Barnett, and Polly Butts; three step-children, Dorothy Czarnecki, Janet McCoy, and Ron Miller, nine step-grandchildren, and several step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am Wednesday at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Mother Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Church building fund, 4646 NW Fielding Rd., 66618 is suggested.
