Alice R. Nabazas

Alice R. Nabazas, 71, Topeka, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2009.
Alice was born May 29, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Henry G. and Thelma E. (LeGrand) Lebl. She graduated from Reavis High School in Burbank, IL in 1956.
She was a homemaker while her children were growing up and later worked for the Kansas Legislature. She sold Real Estate in the Topeka area for 20 years, most recently with Coldwell Banker, retiring in 2007.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. She volunteered for the Stormont Vail Oncology Department.
Alice married Robert "Bob" Nabazas on April 26, 1958 in Chicago. He survives. Other survivors include daughter, Linda Taggart, Topeka; sons, Robert (Kim) Nabazas, Prairie Village, David (Rose) Nabazas, Leawood; and grandchildren, Loren Ray, Max and Nick. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Lebl.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 17, 2009 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Alice will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road after 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday and visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
