Alice Ruth Clark

Alice Ruth Clark, 90, of Topeka, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 12, 2014. She was born May 16, 1923, the daughter of Jake and Dora Porter, and grew up on the family farm in Inwood, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, 4 brothers and loving husband, Donald R. Clark.
Alice graduated from Sioux Valley Hospital School of Nursing in South Dakota. She started her registered nursing career at the Topeka State Hospital, met her husband, and later retired from the Topeka VA Hospital. Alice and Donald lived at Lake Wabaunsee where the family enjoyed many memorable times.
Alice is survived by her children, Curtis (Benette) Clark, Topeka, KS, Dona (Ubaldo) Ciminieri, Houston, TX, Dana (Ray) Boze, Weimar, TX, Douglas (Bev) Clark, Alma, KS, Ron (Laurie) Clark, Overland Park, KS; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to Midland Care, 200 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606, in memory of Alice and in thanks for the loving care she received there.
