Alice Jane Taylor, 74, Berryton, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009. She was born July 28, 1934, in Newkirk, OK, the daughter of Earl and Savannah Maybelle Christensen.
She married Robert Taylor on November 22, 1952, in Topeka. He survives.
They were members of South Knollwood Baptist Church for 48 years. Her life was devoted to being an exceptional wife and mother.
Other survivors include their children: Robert Taylor, Carbondale; Susan Genther, Topeka; Sharon Taylor, Berryton; Richard Taylor, Topeka and David Taylor of Overland Park; six grandsons and six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Smith and Esta Christensen of Topeka. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Christensen.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is handling arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 NW Rochester Road, Topeka, KS, 66617.
