Alice Ilene Trembly died unexpectedly July 7th, 2013 at Midland House. Alice was born September 4th, 1927 in Benedict, KS, the daughter of Joseph and Beulah Adams. Alice graduated from Chanute High School, and married her high school sweetheart Eugene Edward Trembly. They were married for 67 years.
Alice followed her husband's railroad career and made their home in Wellington, KS with a later transfer to Topeka, KS where they made their final home. Alice was a homemaker and provided loving daycare for children as well as her grandchildren.
She had a love for antiques and spent many years nurturing her husband's antique clock repair business. She held a special place in her heart for friends and family, most especially her children and grandchildren.
In the last several years, Alice and Gene have been attended with twenty four hour care by her family and grandchildren in her home. She expressed her love and appreciation daily to all of her loving caregivers.
Alice is survived by her husband Eugene of the home; two sons: Raleigh Trembly (Elizabeth Sarchet), Randy Trembly (Vicki Carey); one daughter: Tisha Trembly-Toone (Burton Toone); six grandchildren: Paula, Peter, Pamela, Matthew, Allison, and Paige; great-grandchildren: Joseph, Courtney, Marley, Nash and Sailor; great-great-grandchildren: Dylan, Rylee and Carter.
Private family graveside services will be held on July 11, 2013 at 3PM at Shawnee Center Cemetery, Wakarusa, KS. The family will receive friends at the home for a Celebration of Life at 4PM.
