Allen Spencer
Allen "Leroy" Spencer, 63, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at a Topeka hospital. He was born January 5, 1948 in Carbondale, KS, the son of Raymond and Fern Stroth Spencer.
He was employed at Essex Wire Company for 19 years before retiring. Leroy married Martha Klemme on September 18, 1982 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Timothy D. Spencer of Portland, Oregon, Jeremy A. Spencer of Topeka, one sister, Patricia LeRette of Melvern, KS and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Leroy will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel.
