Alma E. Williamson, 99, Topeka, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004 at her home.
She was born Aug. 14, 1905 in Palmer, KS, the daughter of Charles F. and Alma E. Boyton Sheets. She moved with her family to Topeka as a child. She attended public schools in Topeka, graduating from Washburn High School.
In her early years, she was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church, the Willian Workers and the Go-Fo-Sos. She knitted hats and gloves for Let's Help, and was always doing for others.
She married William LaVern Williamson on Aug. 22, 1925 at the courthouse in Lyndon. He died Aug. 13, 1988.
Survivors include three sons, Marvin E. Williamson, Springfield, MO, Gary L. Williamson, Topeka, LaVern Ray Williamson, Jefferson City, MO, 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. An inurnment service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
