Alvin "Al" Lloyd Milner, 76, passed away May 18, 2016, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Ks. He was born March 25, 1940, east of Centralia on the family farm to Emma (Schlupp) and Charles E. Milner, Sr. He graduated from Centralia High School in 1959. He retired from Kansas Department of Transportation in Topeka in 2002 with 43 years of service.
Alvin married Norma Schmidt on August 18, 1962, in Centralia. She survives. Other survivors include son Marc Milner, Topeka and daughter, Lisa Cain (Chris), Ozawkie; grandson Adam Milner; brothers, Robert Milner (Sharon), Grain Valley, Mo., and Eldon Milner (Herma), Peyton, CO; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and husband, Emily and Duane Harter; brother and wife, Charles and Sharon Milner.
A Celebration of his life will be held Tuesday, May 24 at 11:00am in Topeka at Reynolds Lodge, 3315 SE Tinman Circle at Lake Shawnee.
