Alvin "Buddy" Ross Lowe, Jr., lifelong resident of Topeka, passed away August 13, 2017. He was born in Topeka on August 10, 1946 to Leona May (Bateson) Lowe and Alvin Ross Lowe, Sr.
Buddy enjoyed country music, fishing and beer.
He will be greatly missed by his sister, Judy Lowe Courtney and his brother, Freddy Lowe; 4 nephews: Danny Lovelady, Don Lowe, Freddy Lowe, Jr., and Charles Lowe; 2 nieces: Jennifer Courtney and Leona Lowe; a great-niece, Cassie Lassiter and a great-nephew, Christopher Lester; his good friend, Elaine Hoblin; and many other extended family members and friends.
Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a nephew, Jason Lowe.
A memorial service will be held from 2-3PM on Sunday, August 27, at the gabezo at Penwell Gabel Cemetery. His cremated remains will be placed in the Community Scattering section of the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc. at nationalbreastcancer.org or the charity of your choice.
