Alyce L. (Hockett) Frost was born on October 11, 1930 in Topeka, Ks. and passed into the Lord's hands on April 30, 2017 on St. Simons Island, Ga.
She was at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home where she lived for the last 6 years of her life. She was cared for and loved by many kind and compassionate caregivers at Magnolia Manor and blessed to be able to call them friends.
Alyce L. (Hockett) Frost lived a very diverse life. She never let her age get in the way of doing something she wanted. A few of her major accomplishments was heading up a pilot program for HeadStart, becoming a security guard and later earning her private investigator's license in Kansas. At the age of 72, she opened her own restaurant, "Frostie's Café". There wasn't much she couldn't do when she put her mind to it.
Alyce had 5 children; Carol (Dan) Engle, Steve Frost (predeceased in 2014), David Frost, Donna (Fred) Castaldo and Randy (Jan) Frost. Alyce had 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is leaving behind loving sisters, Dona, Becky, Nancy and Jean along with many nieces and nephews.
The family wants to thank Hospice of the Golden Isles and Magnolia Manor Nursing Home for being there and caring for our Mother.
