Andr'E Douglas

André L. Douglas-Brooks, 26, passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2006 in Topeka. André was born on March 3, 1980 in Topeka, the son of the late Peter Brooks Jr., and Sarah Lou Douglas. André grew up in Topeka where he attended Robinson Middle School and Topeka High School. André is survived by his mother, Sarah Lou Douglas; step parents: Mark B. White and Evaleen "Tina" White and Cecilia Brooks; brothers: Eric Douglas, Marcus White, Michael White, Antonio Shepard, Damario Brooks, Deryck Jenkins, Courtney Crockett, Peter Brooks, James Brooks, Keenan Brooks; sisters: Latosha Douglas, Rochelle Douglas, Ashley Shepard, Kizzy Huffman, Lamika Brooks, Risa Brooks, Angelelah Brooks, Nikkia Crockett, Kay Brooks, Brandy Brooks, Kim Brooks, and Sharron Brooks; Special Friends: Carolyn Nance, Larry Combs, Rick Nance, Pete Nance, Corey Nance, Tevin Nance, Joseph Owens, and Joe Battle. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, at El Shaddi Ministries Church of God in Christ, with burial to follow at Topeka Cemetery. André will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, when the family will receive friends.
