Anita L. Gerber

Anita L. Gerber, 82, Topeka, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Stormont-Vail Health Center.
Anita was born April 26, 1934 in Cowley County, the daughter of Howard and Eloise Larson. She graduated from Ottawa High School and attended Kansas State University.
She was a Master Gardener and a member of Prime Timers.
She was employed as an Administrative Assistant for Tom Murphy and New York Life Insurance for over 30 years.
Anita married Ben E. Gerber on May 10, 1953. He died April 24, 2004. Survivors include daughter, Cynthia (David) Strait, Auburn; granddaughter, Erica (Craig) Harris, Shawnee; grandson, Chris Strait, Portland, ME; and great-granddaughter, Sloan Harris.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017.
