Anita L. Walker
Anita L. "Lucy" Walker, 90, of Topeka, died Thursday, July 21, 2011. She was born February 20, 1921 in Shawnee, OK, the daughter of Ira and Patsy Walker.
Anita was raised in Ottawa, KS and later moved to Topeka where she was employed as a civilian Personnel Officer for the U. S. Air Force at Forbes Field, and upon the base closing, was transferred to Logistics Command at Warner Robbins Air Force Base in GA.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Schneider (Larry), Topeka: sister, Juanita McCoy, Topeka; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and three sisters.
Per her wishes, Anita was cremated. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 28 at West Lawn Memorial Gardens in Topeka.
