Anna Lou Griffith-Klinefelter, 76, Topeka, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at a local hospital.
Anna Lou was born May 6, 1931 in Olsburg, the daughter of Ruben and Elfie (Johnson) Rose.
She was raised in Randolph and graduated from Randolph High School in 1949 and completed several American Institute of Banking courses at Washburn University.
She worked for Commerce Bank & Trust for 35 years, retiring in 1997 as a Vice President.
She was a member of Crestview United Methodist Church.
Anna Lou married Raymond Pfaff and had three children, Michael, Jane and Robert. She married Loyal O. Griffith in 1967. He died in 1984. She married Howard W. Klinefelter in 1996. He died in 2004. Survivors include her children, Michael Griffith and wife, Suzanne, Claremore, OK; Jane Jackson, Norfolk, VA; Robert Griffith and wife, Leanne, Topeka; seven grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and a sister, Phyllis Anderson, Topeka.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2008 at Crestview United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Anna Lou will lie in state at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
