Anne J. Stone, 79, Ozawkie, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2004 at Midland Hospice House.
She was born Oct. 1, 1925 in Witkow, Saskatchewan, Canada, the daughter of Frederick and Anastasia Wotowich, and came to Topeka in 1949.
She graduated from the North Battleford Provincial School of Nursing. She was a psychiatric nurse for over 50 years. She worked for the Menninger Foundation for 25 years before retiring, and later worked for Memorial Hospital and for Shawnee County Mental Health.
She married Ray Fitzer. They were divorced. She later married James E. Stone. They were divorced.
Survivors include her son, Mark G. Stone, Topeka, grandsons, Eric Stone, Olathe and Paul Stone, Topeka, great-granddaughters, Zoe and Adia Stone.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Oskaloosa at 7:30 pm Friday.
