Annie Marie Mcglory

Annie Marie McGlory, 78, of Topeka, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at her home. She was born February 2, 1937 in El Dorado, Texas, the daughter of Joe and Phoebe Riley Gibbs.

Annie graduated from high school in Idabele, Oklahoma in 1956. She had previously resided in New Mexico and moved to Topeka in 1966. Annie was employed by Stormont-Vail Hospital as a Nurse Technician for 20 years before retiring in 1987. She previously attended the Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ and was presently a member of the Church of God in Christ Church. She was a Foster Grandparent with KNI for over 5 years.

Annie married Duane Cox in 1970. He survives. Other survivors include her children, Fred Casteal, Jr. of Carrolton, Texas, Augustene Gates of Topeka, grandchildren, Amme' Casteal, Gina Casteal, Joe Casteal, Jr., Michael Jordan, Mario Jordan, Javier Cox, Andrew Casteal, Andrea Casteal, Carolyn Gates, Xavier Dunbar, great-grandchildren, Romane Mays, Ramauri Mays, Richard Williams, Rigina Williams, Mayliah Jordan, Savannah Caraway, Tristan Casteal, Michael Jordan, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, Archie Ray Tilley, Gene Casteal, Joe Casteal and her two sisters, Georgia Byrd and Earnestine Rundles.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Annie will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016 at the funeral home.
