Arnold J. Billbe, "AJ," 63, of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2022.
He was born October 25, 1958, in Winchester, Kansas, the son of Wallace Ray and Myrtle Frances (Hamilton) Billbe. He graduated from Santa Fe Trail High School in 1976.
Arnold was employed as a truck driver – as an owner / operator for a time.
Arnold attended Auburn Christian Church.
Arnold married Shelly Longcor on July 13, 2012 in Carbondale. She survives, along with his daughter Iesha Billbe of Topeka; step-sons Myles Longcor of Iowa and Lee Morrison of Auburn; granddaughters Daylnn Billbe of Topeka and Madison Longcor of Auburn; mother Myrtle Frances Billbe of Holton; siblings Stephen Billbe (Janet) of Auburn and Joyce Ross (Brian) of Holton; sisters-in-law Patti Billbe of Topeka and Monique Longcor of Minnesota; brothers-in-law Mike Longcor of Henderson, Iowa and Rich Longcor of Minnesota; mother-in-law Claudia Hoover (Herb) of Henderson, Iowa; and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father; brothers David, Lowell, and Mike Billbe; and father-in-law Denny Longcor.
Arnold enjoyed spending time with his family – especially his grandchildren – and especially running errands for them, trying to fix things, spending time with friends, watching westerns and Perry Mason. He loved helping people and cracking jokes.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 25 at the Auburn Christian Church, 1351 North Washington Street in Auburn. Cremation will follow the ceremony. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A private family graveside inurnment service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
