Audrey Ellen Dale, 88, Topeka, died Friday, Dec. 22, 2006 at Lexington Park Nursing Center.
She was born Sept. 1, 1918 in Grove, Oklahoma, the daughter of Tom and Jessie Knight Hood. She graduated from San Jacinto, CA High School. She lived in Hemet, CA for over 70 years, before coming to Topeka in December, 1999.
She married Earl J. Dale on Dec. 31, 1937 in Hemet, CA. He survives. Other survivors include her son, Orval E. Dale of Tecumseh, KS; a sister, Lavina Lewis of Carefree, AZ; two brothers, Darrell Hood of Hurricane, UT and Wayne Hood of Shingle Springs, CA; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation is planned. No public memorial service is planned. Private inurnment will be in San Jacinto Valley Cemetery, San Jacinto, CA.
