Audry Genevieve Reed, 74, from Tecumseh, KS, fought a long strong battle with colon cancer. She took her last breath on August 5, 2015 at 3:25 pm at Oakley Place Care Homes.
Audry was born on May 7, 1941 to Harvey and Edna (Schilling) Reed in Havensville, KS. She graduated from Havensville High School in 1959.
On January 16, 1965, she married Loren Reed. In January 2015, they celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage together. Audry was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother.
She greatly cared about those around her and spent many years working in the community. She devoted her time to working at the Kaw Valley Girl Scout Council and after that as a librarian at Tecumseh South Elementary School for the Shawnee Heights School District. She loved helping children develop a passion for reading! One of her greatest pleasures was hosting the annual Reed July 3 Blast for the last 39 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Leona Roberts.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow in Emmanuel Cemetery southeast of Topeka.
