Augustina T. Cramer (Lopez), 72, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. She was born April 30, 1944 in Topeka to Charles Lopez and Theresa M. (Segovia) Lopez. Her father was killed in World War II. Auggie was the granddaughter of Pedro Lopez, founder of Pedro Lopez Co.
Auggie grew up and attended school in Peabody, KS, graduating in 1962. She graduated from Emporia State University in 1966 with a BS in Home Economics. On August 18, 1971, she married Larry R. Cramer.
Auggie was a long time food service worker but her best-loved job for 18 years was with USD 501 in the Topeka High School cafeteria. Her favorite thing was cooking for family and friends, especially during the holidays. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, and hanging out with A.J. the cat.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Cramer dad, Angel Torres, Peabody, KS; brother Michael Torres; sister, Patsy Torres-Milton; step sons, Glenn, Danny and Jerry Scherdin; niece, Theresa Milton; nephews, Micah and Gabriel Torres, Jon and Chris Milton; 15 great nieces and nephews; 7 grandchildren; many cousins including Joe, J.C. and Dolores Oliva and Mabel Lira who lived together while growing up; friends and co-workers.
Auggie was preceded in death by her parents Charles Lopez and Theresa "Terrie" Torres; plus many aunts and uncles.
Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 201 NE Chandler St., Topeka. A parish rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday with visitation at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
