Aurella Emma (Ringenberg) Heine

Aurella Emma (Ringenberg) Heine, age 95 of Topeka, KS and formerly of Concordia, MO, Sheridan, WY, Seward, NE, and Lexington, NE, died on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Aurella was born on the family farm 10 miles south of Eustis, NE in 1926, the daughter of William J. and Olga B. (Lohmeyer Werth) Ringenberg.
Aurella was baptized at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Minden, NE and was confirmed at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lexington, NE. Her confirmation verse was Hebrews 10:23 - "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for He is faithful that promised." (KJV) In 1943 Aurella graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in Seward, NE. In 1946 she received her Lutheran Teacher Certification from Concordia Teachers College - Seward and in 1966 her BS in Education from CTC. Aurella later also received her Master's degree from Concordia Teachers College in 1976.
Aurella was married to Gilbert Raymond Heine in 1947 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lexington, NE; he preceded her in death in 2002 and is buried at rural Hillside Lutheran Cemetery near Lexington where Aurella will be laid to rest at his side to await the Resurrection.
Aurella was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Willard J., of Oral, SD, her son, Rev. William C. Heine, and a nephew Steven Ringenberg.
She is survived by her brother Herbert (Evelyn) Ringenberg of Lexington, her sister-in-law Shirley Heine of Lexington, her sister-in-law Twila Smith of Cozad, her daughter Kathleen R. (Dennis) Hintz of Topeka, KS, her daughter-in-law Melinda Heine of Decatur, AL, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Aurella graciously touched the lives of many children in her nearly thirty years as a teacher. She humbly, joyously, and faithfully received God's gifts of Word and Sacrament regularly throughout her life. Soli Deo Gloria!
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore Street, Topeka, KS. Visitation will be at the church one hour before the service.
Burial will be at the Hillside Lutheran Cemetery near Lexington, NE. Visitation will be held from 10 - 10:45 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Reynolds-Love Funeral Chapel in Lexington, NE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore St., Topeka, KS 66606 or Martin Luther Grammar School at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1325 Burton Street, Sheridan, WY 82801-2750.
