Berdene "Darlene" Colboch, 81, Topeka, passed away Wednesday, February 26, 2014.
Darlene was born March 19, 1932 in Topeka, the daughter of Cloice "Ike" and Bernice (Gordon) Cox. She was a graduate of Topeka High School.
Darlene worked with her husband at their Topeka business, Joe Colboch Used Cars and U-Save Auto rental. Darlene's greatest joy was raising her boys, and sharing in the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Methodist faith and the local chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.
Darlene married Benjamin "Joe" Colboch on June 1, 1952 in Topeka. Joe preceded her in death on June 20, 2010. Survivors include sons, Kent (Donetta) Colboch, San Antonio, TX, Craig (Torri) Colboch, Topeka; four grandchildren, Kyle (Krystal), Connor, Carissa, Cooper; and three great-grandchildren, Kylie, Tyler and Collin. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Wanda Teske, Lariee Harr and Sue Watts.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4 at Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Topeka Rescue Mission or to the organization of the donor's choice.
