Barbara A. Clark, 67, of Topeka, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2012.
She was born on November 23, 1944, in Conway Springs, KS, the daughter of Sylvester & Rose Andra.
She has two surviving daughters, Brenda Becker and Sheryl Becker, of Topeka. In 1986 she married her high school sweetheart, Dan Clark, who survives along with four stepchildren, Carrie, Rick, Dee Dee, and Rob.
She had four siblings, two brothers, Kenneth and Randall both of Conway Springs and two sisters, Mary of Sedgwick and Lillian of Wichita. Barbara graduated from Conway Springs High School and went on to obtain several degrees in Health Information Management. She worked in health care associated fields for 35 years which included Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, KS., St. Mary's Health Center in Emporia, Menninger Children's Clinic, Rehabilitation Hospital, Kansas Foundation for Medical Care and retired from Stormont Vail Health Care in 2009 after a 13 year career in coding and medical information. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed working in her gardens. Her daughter Sheryl attends Exploring Life day services and currently lives in the community with help of Equi Venture Farm.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Topeka Baptist Church, 4500 SW Gage Blvd., Topeka. The family will receive friends from 6:00– 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 18, at the Penwell-Gabel Southwest Chapel, 3700 Wanamaker Rd., Topeka.
