Barbara J. Lewis, 79, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born October 9, 1940 in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the daughter of Truman and Dorothy (Moore) Cornwell.
Barbara graduated from high school in Michigan. She was employed by Brewster Place as a CNA before retiring.
Barbara married Ronald Lewis. He preceded her in death on December 17, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, George and Connie.
Survivors include children, Doug (Geri), Donnie (Nancy) and Sean (Stephanie), one daughter-in-law, one granddaughter and two great-granddaughters.
Cremation has taken place and as per Barbara's wishes, no memorial services are planned. Private inurnment will take place at a later date.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family.
