Barbara Ann Norris-Quarles, 68, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at a Topeka hospital. She was born May 11, 1953 in Topeka, the daughter of Loren and Evelyn (Phillips) Norris.
Barbara graduated from Topeka High School. She earned a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree Cum Laude in Social Work from Washburn University. She was employed by Village Cleaners and Valeo Behavioral Health Care.
Survivors include two brothers, Larry DeShazer of Topeka, Bill DeShazer of Topeka, her sister-in-law, Marlene Norris of Topeka, and her nieces and nephews, Rhonda DeShazer, Diane Stukey, Debbie Norris, Mark Norris, Wendell DeShazer, Clark DeShazer, several great-nieces and great-nephews and many dear friends.
A Celebration of Barbara's Life Will be held at a later date. Private inurnment will take place in Reading Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Helping Hands Humane Society 5720 SW 21st St., Topeka, Kansas 66604.
Dove Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave. is assisting the family with arrangements.
