Barbara Ramsey

Barbara J. Ramsey, 69, Topeka, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009, at Aldersgate Village. She was born on June 30, 1940, at Soldier, the daughter of Tom and Helen (Swanson) Myers.
She is a 1958 graduate of Circleville High School.
Barbara married Gene Ramsey on August 25, 1958, in Topeka. He survives.
Barbara worked as a Phlebotomist for Stormont-Vail for 10 years, retiring in July 1998.
Mrs. Ramsey enjoyed reading, and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Other survivors include her two children, Daniel (Betty) Ramsey of Berryton, and Debra R. Ramsey-Kuck of Topeka; two siblings, David Myers, Holton and Rosemary Scheid, Cummings, grandchildren; Erin (Josh) Sullivan, Kerrville, TX, Blake Ramsey, Manhattan, and Donavan, Kala, and Nick Kuck of Topeka.
Barbara will lie in state after noon Tuesday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel with visitation from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday evening. A funeral ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
