Barbara Taylor

Barbara Taylor, 76, Topeka, Kansas, passed away April 13, 2011. She was born Dec. 4, 1934 to Joseph J. and Frances I. (Riddle) Rodecap at Meriden, Kansas. She graduated from Meriden High School in 1952. She married Arvin Rose in 1952. He preceded her in death in 1962. They had four children; Alan Rose, Topeka, Jim Rose, Topeka, Mike Rose, Meriden, and Gary Rose, Topeka, all surviving.
She married James Taylor in 1968. She raised his children as her own. They survive; Frank Taylor, Pensacola, FL, Taylor Parton, Kansas City, and Jeanette Patterson, Pensacola, FL. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great- grandchildren.
The celebration of her life will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 at Meriden United Methodist Church Gymnasium, 100 S. Dawson, Meriden, KS from 1-3 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 2400 Troost Ave Ste 4300, Kansas City, MO 64108-2842.
