Barbara W. Townley, 85, Topeka, died Sun., Dec. 16, 2007, at Brewster Place. She was born July 8, 1922, in Topeka the daughter of William Lloyd and Lois (Wilson) Wardin.
Barbara was reared in Topeka, where she graduated from Topeka High School and Washburn College. She worked as a Junior High Teacher. Upon retirement she and her husband, Jud, returned to Topeka.
Surviving are her husband: Judson Townley at Brewster Place; a daughter: Peggy K. Townley of Addy, WA; 3 sons: Bruce Townley of Portland, OR, Dave Townley of Portland, OR, and Paul Townley of Mansfield, OH; a sister: Peggy Wardin of Cleveland, OH; and 3 grandchildren: Ian Townley, Kya Townley Hanson, and Ella Townley Kerner.
Barbara donated her body to the Univ. of Kansas Medical Center for anatomical study. No public services are planned. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
