Barbara J. Ulmo, 86, of Belton, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at an Independence, Missouri hospital. She was born April 9, 1933 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of James and Florence (Boatman) Norton.
Barbara graduated high school in Terre Haute and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Science and Nursing from Washburn University in Topeka. She was a Registered Nurse at Colmery-O'Neil VA Medical Center before retiring. She was a member of the Church of Christ with the Elijah Message in Independence, Missouri.
Barbara married Frank E. Ulmo in 1962. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ray Norton.
Survivors include their children, Connie Maynard of Melbourne, Florida, Debbie Hicks of Melbourne, Florida, Rick (Evelyn) Bartlett of Melbourne, Florida, Pamela (Ray) Smith of Orlando, Florida, Dana (Mai-Ling) Ulmo of Butler, Missouri, thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and her sister, Alice Swan of Houston, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
