Beatrice Lopez Ramirez , 78, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2004 at Midland Hospice House.
She was born July 29, 1926, in Topeka, Kansas to Jose Maria and Rita Alcala Lopez. She attended East Topeka Junior High and Topeka High School. She then worked for Seymour Foods for several years and for Stormont- Vail Hospital with pre-mature babies before going to work for the Human Resouces dept. of The State of Kansas.She retired as a homemaker.
She married Baltasar(Pete) Ranirez on April 24, 1948 in Topeka, Kansas. He preceeded her in death on October 21, 2003.
Other survivors include: four sons: Celso, George and Camellia, and Raymond and Jill Ramirez of Topeka, and Pete and Maria Carmen Ramirez of Arvada, CO., eight grand children; Raymond, Phillip, Emilio Jesus, Alex, Daniel, Brittany all of Topeka and Pete and Leon of Arvada, CO., two brothers; Ruben Lopez of Topeka and Robert Lopez of Denver, CO, and numerous neices and nephews and friends.
A rosary will held from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 12, 2004 at Penwell- Gabel Southeast Chapel with a visitation from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. .Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Friday August 13, 2004 at 10:00 am with burial to follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Topeka.
