Bernadette Kruger

Bernadette "Bernie" Kruger, 64, of Berryton, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Stormont-Vail Regional Medical Center. She was born January 1, 1950 in Topeka, the daughter of Leonard and Helen Stadler. Bernie retired from the purchasing department at Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after serving in many other capacities. She was an active member of the Berryton United Methodist Church. Bernie married John H. Kruger on November 11, 1981. He survives. Other survivors include their children, Mike (Joy) Kruger, Troy (Leslie) Kruger, Amy (Dustin) Shorter, three grandchildren, Talia, Abigail and Lukas and her siblings, Mary (Dean) Beck, Rick (Edi) Stadler, Maureen Stadler, Geri (Larry) Nething and John Stadler. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Berryton United Methodist Church. Inurnment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Berryton United Methodist Church, 7010 SE Berryton Rd., Berryton, KS 66409. Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel is assisting the family.
