Bernard Edmonds

Bernard C. "Bernie" Edmonds, 48, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, December 20, 2010 at his home. He was born December 27, 1961 in Topeka, the son of Marvin R. and Hazel L. Edmonds. He attended Shawnee Heights High School. He was a Sous Chef for Topeka area restaurants.

Bernie was preceded in death by his son, Adam C. Edmonds in 1992 and his father, Marvin R. Edmonds in 2009. Survivors include his mother, Hazel L. Edmonds, his siblings; Bill (Betty) Edmonds, Brenda (Pierce Logan) Artzer, Beverly (Carl) Austin, Becky (Kevin) Perkins and many nieces, nephews and his step-son, Joshua Black.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Private interment will take place in Topeka Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Bernie Edmonds Memorial Fund c/o Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel, 2843 SE Minnesota Ave., Topeka, KS 66605.
