Bernice Kidwell

Bernice D. "Pat" Kidwell, 73, of Topeka, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born on March 18, 1935 near Powhattan, KS, the daughter of Leo and Dorothy Haworth Poston. Pat was a waitress in Topeka for several different restaurants for over 35 years. Survivors include one daughter, Kim and husband, Lonnie of Topeka, three grandchildren, Jennifer, John and Danny and one sister, Jean Petersen of Topeka. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bob and Calvin and one sister, Catherine. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in Netawaka Cemetery. Pat will lie in state after 3:00 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel where the family will receive friends from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to Midland Hospice House, 200 S.W.
